With all of the tension, conflict, and hurt going on in the world right now, we here at A Stranger Concept wanted to take a quick moment to share some love and make a statement about who we are, and what we’re about.

We are a proudly diverse group made up of Blacks, Whites, Asians, Hispanics, Jews, and Indigenous people. We are made up of men and women, gay and straight, abled and disabled, and we are all bound together by our love of each other and our passion for creating this crazy little thing called movie magic.

We don’t normally make a big deal about this, preferring to let our work and our actions speak for themselves. But now more than ever it’s important to remember that groups like ours do exist, and that common ground is so easy to find if we’d but only look for it. We know that something as trivial as independent filmmaking might not mean all that much in the grand scheme of things, but nonetheless we stand together – against racism, against brutality, and against hate. Always have. Always will.

Film is Family.
